Here's The First Three KO/TKOs From This Afternoon's UFC Prelims
UFC is putting on an early card at the Apex today, headlined by Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs Shamil Gaziev, and the prelims are off to a 3/3 start on KO/TKO finishes!
Loik Radzhabov got things started with a huge comeback, finishing Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady in the third round….
I don't know what the hell referee Chris Tognoni was waiting for there. Al-Selwady's head bounced off the canvas like a basketball and Tognoni let him eat 14-15 unanswered shots afterwards for no reason whatsoever. Horrible stoppage in my opinion.
Ludovít Klein made quick work of AJ Cunningham in the next fight, finishing him in the first round with a kick to the gut that would have me sounding like the grape lady for the rest of my life….
The speed at which Cunningham went down after the kick was astounding. It was like he was sucked into the mat after it landed. There are really few things in MMA (besides bone-snapping injuries) that look more painful than a good body-shot KO. I hope to never experience that.
Christian Leroy Duncan then completed the KO/TKO hat trick with a tremendous, dominating performance over Claudio Ribeiro….
It was the best Christian Leroy Duncan has ever looked in the UFC, and I don't know if it's just his accent - but I like the guy.
DC hitting UK cuisine with a ricochet shot before he left the cage was great, too….
Just moments later DC claimed he is 210-17 in online EA FC 24 matches.
Today's card has some unusually HUUUGE favorites on it, so I'm expecting a lot of finishes this afternoon. Now that college football season is over, you've got no reason not to toss some UFC on! Get involved!
